VETERINARIAN (10–15 hours/week)
We’re looking for an experienced small animal veterinarian who wants a genuine, long-term part-time role in a clinic where good medicine, strong teamwork and a well-run day all matter.
This role is for someone who enjoys general practice, values an experienced team and wants to work in a clinic where the systems are clear, the support is real and everyone knows their role.
A clinic designed to work well
We’ve focused on building a clinic where patients receive thoughtful care and our team can do their best work.
That means:
- We protect appointments for urgent cases rather than routinely overbooking
- Our experienced nurses collect & run samples, and discuss treatment plans (and estimates) so you can keep your mind on the medicine
- Our reception team actively manages the schedule and keeps clients informed
- Our vets can focus on clinical decisions, communication and patient care
- We use agreed clinical standards to create consistency while still respecting each veterinarian’s judgement
Every week, we reduce our surgery load and close the clinic for an hour to discuss cases, improve the way we work and have lunch together.
We protect that time because a healthy culture does not happen by accident.

What does a demanding day look like here?
One recent Monday began with a full appointment book and three appointments deliberately protected for urgent cases.
Before 8:30 am, we had a walk-in emergency and the phones were running hot.
The team adapted.
Urgent patients were prioritised. Nurses kept consults flowing. Reception kept clients informed. Our vet was able to stay focused on clinical decisions and patient care.
By lunchtime, we had cared for a waiting room full of sick pets.
The day was full, but it remained calm, organised and under control.
That is not luck.
It is the result of an experienced team, clear systems and a clinic designed to work well.
The practical details
- Approximately 10–15 hours per week
- A genuine, long-term part-time position
- No after-hours
- Saturday mornings available, but not essential
- Scheduling designed with the intention of everyone finishing on time
- Pay from $70+ per hour, depending on experience
